The Guru Guru brengt de Love Of The Week weer terug naar de lage landen. Het Vlaamse vijftal dat naar eigen zeggen borderline rock brengt laat hier voor het eerst van zich horen met "Delaware". Later deze maand spelen ze op o.a. Eurosonic en komt het tweede album uit. Nieuw jaar, nieuwe #1 ook. The Homesick hield het slechts één week vol aan de top en wordt nu afgelost door Indian Askin, Voor de Amsterdamse band was "Deep End" al de tweede top 10 hit (na "Asshole Down" in 2016), maar nu is het dus de eerste nummer één. Sports Team vliegt de top 10 binnen en ook The Weeknd, FKA Twigs, De Likt en Whispering Sons hebben haast. De hoogste nieuwe is voor Áslaug, een Utrechts/ IJslandse zangeres die met "Take From Me" debuteert in de lijst. Ook Sofi Tukker debuteert, nadat het haar met "Best Friend" in 2017 net niet lukte. Bombay Bicycle Club stond in 2014 één weekje in de lijst en het duurde tot 2019 voor er een tweede hit kwam. Deze week volgt nummer drie. Haim volgt een wat apart patroon, nadat ze vorig jaar zeven weken in de lijst stonden met "Summer Girl"zonder verder te komen dan #32 kwam opvolger "Now I'm In It" binnen op #25 om na twee weken op die positie te verdwijnen en nu weer terug te komen. Lana Del Rey scoort haar derde notering in de lijst, Kakkmaddafakka loopt er één op haar achter en The Kik tenslotte debuteert. Stem in de comments je favoriet hoger in de lijst of bezorg ze zo een plekje bij de bovenste 40. Ook titels die niet in de keuzelijst staan kun je inbrengen als stem.
