Ist Ist is een postpunk kwartet uit Manchester. Na veel optredens in vooral eigen regio moet de release van debuutalbum 'Architecture' volgende week hen verder op de kaart zetten. De timing valt wat ongelukkig voor de band die al sinds 2014 bezig is en na een handvol singles nu een album uitbrengt; veel promotie zal er niet inzitten. Dan maar een zetje in de rug als onze Love Of The Week is The Killers staan voor een derde week aan de top, deze week kwam de nieuwe single uit, benieuwd naar het effect hiervan op "Caution" volgende week. Sunborne, The Strokes en Gerhardt gaan goed omhoog deze week. Roisin Murphy stond al zeven keer in de lijst met Moloko en nu voor de zesde keer solo. Zonder band haalde ze in 2005 twee keer de top 10. Eefje de Visser haalde eerder dit jaar ook die top 10 ("Oh" kwam tot #6) en scoort nu haar derde notering. Rina Sawayama debuteert en komt volgende week mogelijk al met een tweede notering.Columbia Mills scoort een vierde notering. Laura Marling kwam in 2016 tot #31 met "Gurdjeff's Daughter", haar enige notering tot dusver. Whitney Tai tenslotte debuteerde vorig jaar in de lijst en verdubbelt nu het aantal noteringen. In de bubbling under deze week 17 nieuwe titels.
