For The Love Of Music Top 40 2 mei 2020

In het eerste decennium van deze eeuw boekte het Britse Razorlight veel successen. Nummers als "In The Morning", "America" en "Before I Fall To Pieces" kende bijna iedereen. In 2018 besloot de band met een nieuwe plaat te komen na een pauze van 10 jaar, maar helaas voor hen merkte bijna niemand die comeback. Nu gooien ze het over een andere boeg en komen ze met een oud nummer. "Burn, Camden, Burn" werd in 2009 voor de pauze opgenomen en geproduceerd door Edwyn Collins, die wij kennen van de hit "AGirl Like You". Nu wordt het nummer gebruikt in een nieuwe serie op Apple TV. En omdat het net zo leuk is als veel andere Razorlight nummers uit die tijd is het deze week de Love Of The Week. The Killers blijven maar bovenaan staan, al neemt de populariteit wel af. Met Jagd slechts één nieuwe titel in de top 10, maar wel een Nederlands product, waardoor 40% van die top 10 nu Nederlands is. My Ugly Clementine (met enige fantasie te vertalen als mijn lelijke mandarijntje) kwamen we al wel eerder tegen op dit blog, maar nog niet in deze lijst. Ook Alfie Tempelman (1 week eind 2019) en Typhoon (vijf weken en #16 met "Liefde" in 2015) zijn redelijk onbekend in de FTLOM Top 40. Dan hebben we met Ashe, het Nederlandse Lucky Blue, Ist Ist en Ela Minus verderop nog vier debutanten. Geen vaste klanten nieuw deze week? Jawel hoor, zou je zeggen bij het zien van de naam Bon Iver, maar ook hij debuteert deze week. Wel kan hij twee top 10 noteringen uit 2011 in de voorloper van deze lijst voorleggen. The 1975 tenslotte stond eerder dit jaar voor de vierde keer in de lijst en scoren nu hit nummer vijf, terwijl ze samen met Phoebe Bridgers ook nog in de bubbling under staan. In die bubbling under deze week 22 nieuwe titels.
